Marhaba wint belangrijke internationale Halal Journal Award voor haar inzet om Halal producten grotere bekendheid te geven

During the 2008 World Halal Forum recently held in Kuala Lumpur, Marhaba Halal Food won the award for the Most Creative Marketing Campaign. This prestigious award was handed to Jeremy Deacon, director of Marhaba Halal Food, by Malaysia’s Prime Minister - Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

This year’s THJ received nominations from all over the world (UAE, Netherlands, UK, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Malaysia, Australia, etc). The jury assigned the award to Marhaba Halal Food, because according to them, Marhaba sets the right tone to form a bridge between Muslims and non-Muslims all over the world, with their 100% Halal confectionary products and the slogan ‘By sharing we create harmony’. By making people enjoy treats that are guaranteed (and certified) 100% Halal together, the judged say an important first step for integration and mutual understanding has been taken.

Marhaba’s marketing campaign was praised because of its diversity and creativity. The use of Dutch TV personalities ‘The Girls of Halal’ in a video film on YouTube and during a special promotional tour, with the Marhaba bus, through Amsterdam and Rotterdam served to aid the launch of Marhaba in the Netherlands. Utilising cyber space, Marhaba launched a website promotion were consumers could join the Marhaba Club and receive a free chocolate bar and be kept up to date with the latest news and happenings in the world of Marhaba.
